World Travels included: Four countries in Africa; Rome; Switzerland; Holy Land; Jordan; Egypt; Nassau; Puerto Rico; Korea; Japan; all of the Islands in Hawaii; London; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Moscow & St. Petersburg, Russia; Australia; New Zealand; Porus Island and Athens, Greece.

Authored "Redemption in Black Theology", "The Sacred Art: Preaching and Theology in the African American Tradition" and several other publications, also was a Contributor to many religious periodicals and journals.

Was a Faculty member of the Ecumenical Institute of Theology, St. Mary's Seminary & University (Systematic Theology, Preaching, and Ministry in the Black Church); Past President and faculty member of United Baptist College & Seminary; Past President - 1990-98, United Baptist Missionary Convention of Maryland.

Past Director of Ministers' Division, National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, NBC, USA, Inc. 1994-99.

Past Instructor in the Congress Ministers's Division.

Former Pastor of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church 1964-2005. Led congregation in building a new $2 million sanctuary, moved in on July 24, 1988.

Was married to the late Marie E. Whiting. Prior to receiving their eternal reward in Glory, they had five daughters and nine grandchildren.



“On Sunday, July 3, 2005, our dearly beloved Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Olin P. Moyd, Ph.D. of the past 40 years received his eternal reward and went to be at home with the Lord.

The "Celebration of Life" service for Dr. Moyd was held at the church on Friday, July 8. The family has asked if anyone wants to continue to recognize the love of Dr. Moyd, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the church in the name of the Olin P. and Marie E. Moyd College Scholarship Fund.
