“On
Sunday, July 3, 2005, our dear beloved Senior Pastor of the past 40
years received his eternal reward and went to be at home with the
Lord. We, the Mount Lebanon Family, are saddened by this news and
we weep for our loss, but we rejoice in his love shown to many and
the legacy of life he has left with us.
The "Celebration of Life" services for Senior Pastor Moyd
consisted of both a wake held on Thursday, July 7, 2005, from 6:00
to 9:00 pm, and the funeral on Friday, July 8, 2005, beginning at
10:00 am. The family has asked if anyone wants to continue to recognize
the love of Senior Pastor Moyd, in lieu of flowers,
monetary donations may be made to the church in the name of the
Olin P. and Marie E. Moyd College Scholarship Fund

This man kept
his head when all about him were losing theirs and blaming it on him,
This man trusted himself when men doubted him, but made allowance
for their doubting too,
This man waited and tired not in waiting, or when being lied about,
refused to deal in lies,
Or when being hated, refused to give way to hating,
And yet did these things without looking too good, nor talking too wise:
This man dreamed—but did not make dreams his master,
This man thought –but did not make thoughts his aim;
This man met with Triumph and Disaster and treated those two impostors
just the same;
This man forced his heart and nerve and sinew to serve their role
long after they were gone,
And so held on when there was nothing in him
Except the Will, which said to them: "Hold on!"
This man talked with crowds and kept his virtue,
And walked with kings without losing the common touch,
Neither foes nor loving friends hurt him; all men counted with him,
but none too much
He filled the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds' worth of distance
run,
This man God blessed and kept,
And--which is more—you did the will of your Father and of His Son!
